UNION BID PERIOD: 06/06/2024-06/13/2024Job DescriptionTo perform basic repair and maintenance of buildings and fixed and moveable equipment and fixtures. Perform some semi-skilled mechanical trades work relating to the installation, operations, maintenance and repair of electrical, HVAC, and plumbing/pipefitting.

• Perform basic repair and maintenance of buildings including fixed and moveable equipment and fixtures.
• Perform semi-skilled mechanical trades work relating to the installation, operation, maintenance and repair of electrical, refrigeration, air conditioning, heating, ventilating, and plumbing systems fixed and moveable equipment, fixtures and units.
• Perform semi-skilled building trades work in carpentry, painting, glazing, mason/tuck pointing, plastering, etc.
• Assist various journey-level staff in the completion of diverse tasks. Notify supervisor when repairs and installation tasks that may require advanced are identified.
• Assist with cost estimates, material orders, reports and maintenance records.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Shift

Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or a combination of education and work experience comparable to abilities necessary to perform duties.
• Two years of general maintenance experience is required. (Some or all of the two years of experience may be required to be in a specific skill area of concentration; i.e., carpentry, plumbing, heating/air conditioning, etc.) Skill in the maintenance and operation of tools, equipment and materials. Sufficient strength to perform heavy lifting and work on ladders on an occasional basis.
• A valid driver's license is required.

Anticipated Hiring Range

The anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as $18.75-$19.11 hourly.

Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual’s particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.
